It’s amazing how life can turn on a penny.
Yesterday was fantastic, myself and LSW had a great day getting Christmas shopping and Little Miss was on charming form as we had a nice walk round Manchester City Centre. Not normally two phrases which work in the English language (Nice Walk and Manchester). But they had the continental market and craft stalls and it was such a nice change between all the big cooperate shops.
At that moment, things were perfect. Little Miss giggled and shouted and LSW was as nice as you ask for and we even found this Digital Radio we’d been after for ages. The bank was getting sorted out and I was coming to the end of this batch of overtime. Then Last Night happened.
Little Miss just wouldn’t sleep and that was the start of it. Calpol didn’t work. She was that full of snot that she couldn’t breathe properly. So yet again I had to sleep downstairs as LSW looked after her in our bed. I say sleep but it was too cold. Two quilts and a sleeping bag didn’t keep me warm. So I think I had about two-three hours sleep.
Then on top of all that, the show was leaking again. It’s coming from the back of the tiles. I’m lost with it. I really jest want to take a sledgehammer to the entire place. Keeping my temper is getting very difficult.
Well, at presently at work, pulling together the latest set of reports that Client One would like with their new system. Its hard going but the real worry is that after Christmas no new work has been put into my plan and I’m getting worried about it. So far nothing’s come back from either the Game Job or the agency so I’m struggling to keep positive.
The only thing that’s keeping me going is the thought of the money that I’m supposed to get for this overtime. I really want to get back to the game instead though.
