The Weekend is full of ups and downs.

On the up side, Things between LSW and I have improved. It was our 5th wedding anniversary over the weekend and for once Little Miss gave just enough of a break for us to sit down and sort a lot of stuff out. It's been quite pleasant betweens us since. The insurance company is still dragging its feet over the car keys and I'm going to have to get it sorted this week, as well as the final locks for the front door and the garage.

Little Miss on the other hand has been very clingy. We think it's her teeth. It looks as if she's got four or so coming through, two at the top and two at the bottom. Now that's she can stand, she now climbing and toddling all over the place. Showing off basically! It’s just she’s not sleeping. Saturday night she was grumpy and awake from 00:30 to 03:00. LSW handled most of it but it was tough going for both of us.

A little progress has been made on the game. It’s hard going though I get to write about one procedure a day and then test it. If I could only work full time, it would be out of the way by now.

What is up with Little Miss?

She fell asleep, very troubled between 7:30 and 8:00 and we’d though we’d managed to break the cycle of interrupted sleep we’ve been having but it was not to be. She woke at 9:30 and basically cried through to 12:30 am, moving between dozing off and then screeming. We tried comforting, giving her water and even calpol but it was to no avail.

Eventually at 1:30, we were able to put her in her cot and then get some sleep but it was quite a nasty night. We don’t know if it’s the heat, teething or attention seeking. I’m having trouble with my temper since the theft and the heat probably doesn’t help but last night was the first time I came close to loosing it with her.

Things between LSW and I are not much better. She’s ratty from not much sleep and she’s also got the monthly hormone rush so every thing appears to be my fault. I got it in the neck last night for breathing too loud. I’m now surviving on 2-3 hours of broken sleep.

I’m just wondering if there’s anything I’ve done in a past life to deserve this.

Here we go again.

Little Miss is still very unsettled at the moment. She woke during the night for the first time in ages last night. Poor little girl she started crawling round the cot and bumped her head in the cot because it was dark. I haven’t heard a cry like that during the night before and I must have moved faster than the flash.

LSW is very tired with this. Since we went away for the weekend Little Miss has seemed very unsettled. I doubt we’ll have a night out again for quite a while.

What’s happened since …

Well, I’m still without car but everything else is nearly there. The phones have been replaced. We have new house keys and all the cards have come and are sitting quite happily in my wallet. There are still two things left to do and they both involve dealing with the garage.

I’ve receiving counselling about the theft because my temper keeps on flaring up when mentioning or thinking about the car. I’m going to the doctors’ on Wednesday to see if I’m depressed but I’ll probably get told to ‘pull my socks up’ or something like that.

I’ve closed down the problem bank account, which has made me feel better. Should have done it years ago but there was always the factor of it might be handy to have it. I’ve still got to fill in a fraud form for eBay though.

I’ve made a breakthrough with the game which has really picked me up. I’ve got three major bugs to get out of the way and then I can start testing it and updating the Web site.

We’ve had a break to Bruge with the in-laws and my parents and a good time was had by all apart from the first two nights with Little Miss. Poor Little Girl had a temp over 40 degrees.

LSW and I are getting along OK, there’s a couple of problems but we even managed a night out last week. Pity she was allergic to the cats in the house we stayed over at.

Little Miss is now standing. She pulls herself upright using anything she can grab. Chair, table leg, toilet (!). Then she’ll shuffle about trying to balance and then land on her bum with a big boomf. She then grins, giggles and tries again. Mountaineer perhaps?
