Very Bad Weekend
Saturday and Sunday were fine. Little Miss picked up an eye infection on Friday from nursery we think, so Saturday was a run to the emergency doctor to get a prescription for her eyes. She hates them, we hate doing them, but they have to be done.
On Sunday we had a nice day out in Llandudno in Wales. The RAF was doing an air display and although Little Miss had her moments, we enjoyed the day out. The real trouble started on the Sunday night.
I was working on the game upstairs while the dryer was finishing off some clothes, so the conservatory door was closed but unlocked. I come down stairs to find the door open and missing were my keys, wallet, mobile and Ali’s bag. That had the digital camera, her purse and mobile in, as well as her prescription sun glasses.
This started a panic of calling the police, cancelling the cards and mobiles and then disabling the car. Angry does not do the way I’m feeling justice. I’m angry at myself, at the B******s who did it and trying to stop snapping at LSW has taken a humungous effort.
She’s actually holding up better than me. Her thoughts aren’t to dwell on it, we’re not harmed and it could have been a lot worse. These things can be replaced, apart from the photos taken that day on the cameras. If you let it get to you, then the thieves are taking even more from you.
Nice Idea, but I’m having trouble putting into practice.

Well, we’ve found out what’s happening with Little Miss. She was running with a temperature of 39.5 last night. No wonder the poor we thing was restless and tearful.
Almost as tearful as LSW. It turns out that one of her colleagues at work lost her baby during work. Apparently the cord wrapped around the baby’s neck and the poor thing didn’t stand a chance. LSW’s working environment is all female, so they’re all empathising with mother and it’s just heartbreaking to hear. Don’t think it would have affected us so much if it wasn’t for Little Miss. It just makes me feel so grateful that she’s with us, even when she’s being a lot of work.
Work is oddly quiet, Scooter is back from holiday today so that’ll change.
The game is coming on in leaps and bounds; I’ve now got to only a few things left to test.

Tough time
We seem to be getting a knock back from Little Miss. She was very unsettled for the last few days and has been up and down all of last night. LSW is scared that we’re going to loose all our progress from the last two weeks. It’s no where as bad as it was and we’ve got to be strong, but when you hear her thumping about in her room, it is difficult.
We’ve had relatives and friends round a lot. LSW has been cooking at an incredible rate. How that girl manages to do everything she does is beyond me, no wonder she’s knackered.
Work is tense. You can feel that there’s something just bubbling under the surface. I know that things are not too good with a client in the far east and we’ve dodged a bullet with a client in southern Europe but there’s something else going on. The Dr is in a bad mood and Scooter is still away on holiday. TMCM is back with a vengeance and I’ve had to get tasks for four client out of the way in less that ten minutes.
The game is getting there; I reckon it’s about 90% complete. I’m beginning to put out feelers to see what I can do with it.

The Latest
Well, what’s been happening for the last few weeks? Well the doctor has handed in his notice. So our department no longer has a good System Tester. He’s going to be missed because he puts so much in.
I am now the only developer working on the result management for all of the clients we have. It’s not as bad as it sounds because there are only three separate systems but I’m getting dragged from pillar to post supporting them. There is a lull, as I work on a small task for client two and there are no major buyoffs for a little while. I’m using the opportunity to research some new techniques.
Home Life has improved as well. LSW and I are getting on a lot better. We’re now back on speaking terms and now being more supportive of each other. The main reason for this is Little Miss is now sleeping through the night. It took four nights of hell, but then she started to sleep through.
We couldn’t believe it and we’re still waking half way through the night because we think we hear her. She’s still asleep though.
I’ve got another big step out of the way with the game, pity I’ve been ripped off by that Git on Ebay, otherwise I’d have my multiplayer side of it working. The Bank have charged me for his theft and so I’m going to close my account down in protest because they’re just a big a thief as the aforementioned git.

Very Tired ... Again..
Little Miss is sleeping on average for two hours. LSW is now in a right state and I’m in the doghouse for getting the passport application wrong and not being supportive enough.
I’m trying to work out the second point because I’m running around daft doing stuff for both Little Miss and I don’t know if it’s to do with the fact the LSW is tired and grumpy and just lashing out or whether I am not doing enough.
I’m not holding up too well myself. I’m going to book into the Doctor because I’m getting the chest pains again and with my feet and legs constantly burning with eczema so I’m getting desperate.
