Three Fingered Salute

Oh Poor little Miss. She'w waking up early in a pool of sweat. She's screaming for us as well but LSW now says the it's part of the terrible twos. She's going to have to learn that we can't always come when she yells for us. It breaks your heart when you hear 'Mummy, Daddy! Come Here PLEEEAAASSSEEE!' After all the effort of getting the wendy house up, she won't go anywhere near it because it's covered with ants. I've put a trap down but she still runs away screaming.

LSW is getting sick of the hot weather. Mostly because Little Miss is so unsettled and very much of a handful. It's getting to the point that she's praying that her mum comes up for a visit. There's just too much to do and not enough time to do it. She passes out at about nine every night and she's still tired in the morning.

I think the latest version of the game is complete, the next (and final) free version will be released probably towards the end of august (I hope!). It should be ready in time for a compitition.

The story is comming along nicely. I'll be uploading the latest chapter up on the web next week. It will be interesting to see if I get a strong reaction because a major character is killed off.

Little Miss has settled down. We still think she's got an ear infection but she's sleeping through again. This means that both myself and LSW are a lot more relaxed about, well, everything really. It's the heat that was doing it. Poor little girl couldn't sleep in the humidity.

Satarday, LSW got her new mobile. Again she selected a model that wouldn't run my game. Bit of a pain that. It's now a case of everybody switching phones. My old phone going to the MiL, MiL's going to my mum and LSW's old phone going on EBAY. It's the usual case of people asking me to copy their contacts and photo's from phone to phone which is a right pain.

FiL's web site is almost complete. I'm just matching up the products to the pictures and we'll be putting it up this week. After that, I'm also making new changes to the Game website. New pages and announcments will be available, also by the end of the week. A new story chapter is also underway. It's very tiring keeping all this up.

Work have been supprisingly nice. They've given me a flash new moniter, the latest Visio software and a huge big memory upgrade. I think I know why. The pay rise was pants, so they're trying to make the working environment more attractive. Works as well. The new monitor makes such a difference.

MXO is still very much part time at the moment, but I'm grinding away to build my character up. My Hacker/Coder/DataMiner is comming along very nicly, even though he's only a level 23 character.

How come as soon as I start up this blog again, Little Miss starts getting ill. Running temperature and she can't sleep due to the heat. LSW and I are up half the night (again) and the lack of sleep is beginning to cause a strain between us again.

I've now got a new version of the game ready for launch. Should put that up on the net this weekend. That's after I finish off updating the FiL's Website first.

I'm getting another nag from the people who read the story that they want more updates. I've got a demanding fan base !?!

I was working on the FiL's website last night till quite late. I had to unpeel myself from my chair it was that hot. Little Miss is not handling the temperature well. She's haveing so much trouble sleeping but she makes up for it during the day.

LSW is coming down after the party high, so she's gone and booked a holiday with her folks. I've now got to find an extra £500-600 to head out there. On top of that, there's a load of people we're going out to spain with later in the year. Ouch!

I've now got four game builds which work on the various phones. I've got one more to do and that's yet another version complete. It's then that work starts on the next version.

MXO has been quiet. I'll be joining in again in a while. I've had a lot of naggs about getting on with the story, so I'll have to get that out of the way as well. I've started to plan out the next piece of creative writing as well, it's a thriller called cam-2-cam.

The heat caused trouble with little Miss last night. Poor little girl. However, she's now discovered a new trick. As soon as she wakes up, she can now get up, run out of her room, into ours and Jump up and down on the bed. When due to the heat, you've had less than five hours sleep ... well, you try and be pleasent and chirpy.

On the subject on pleasent and chirpy, LSW is a little on edge. She managed to snap my head off twice in two minutes today. I was about to retalliate until I saw the date on the Calendar. I'll just take cover and assume that she won't mean it and wait until she says sorry for going too far (She always goes too far. ;-( ).

Little Miss' Birthday party was good. Lot's of people turned up and she loved being the centre of everyone's attention. Typically there is always something that spoils the party and in this case it was my sister in law. They left the party at nine and went to the pub with the sister in laws's sister.

I can understand it a little because the sister in law has just come back from overseas and it would seem logical to kill two birds with one stone but it hurt LSW alot and that's going to cause even more friction between her and my family.

Little Miss' Wendy house is up in the back garden. I've still got to screw the whole thing together and all that but it looks good and she loves it. She's not sleeping too well again but we suspect that's due to the hot weather.

It's Little Miss' 2nd Birthday today.

For the last few months, things have been a lot better than normal. Little Miss has not been ill and she's been sleeping though regularly. She's running, jumping and shouting now and she can now talk to us properly. It's quite humbling to see her grow so fast. Mind you, it does feel like a lot more than just two years have passed science she arrived.

LSSWand I are getting on a lot better. I must be careful about even thinking that because I don't want to jinx it. We haven't been fighting, mostly due to the fact that Little Miss is so much better these days. She still does too much and she's always tired. However, now that Little Miss a lot older, LSW is now getting broody and would like a second child. I'm not sure at the moment and I'm feeling a little pressured into it.

Work is still work. I got a pay raise but nothing spectacular. The problem is that if I moved to a different Job, the pay increase would have to be substantial in order to match the money I have in my pocket now. It's traveling expenses that cause the problems. I still need to upgrade my skill set though, I'm not having the opportunity of doing it.

The game has been released. I'm having trouble with the new handsets which are being released but It's nothing my programming skills can't handle. The real problem is trying to get publicity, or even get it free with a publisher. I've had both positive and negative feedback, but I encouraged by what little response I'm getting.

I've eased up on the MXO, mostly because I'm on the chat rooms too much, but it's still a laugh.
