They Don't move the goal posts. They move the pitch !
Work is odd. I’m clearing off work, which is required by client two and four. Unfortunately our contact with client two is ill, so the quiet-man is going to be heading over there again. He’s not happy about it because where he’s going is going is going to be cold and dark.
I’m finally getting the opportunity to tidy up the big piece of functionality that has been hanging over me for the last few months. Well I was, then they floor me with more stuff for client two and still expect the deadline to be met for the first piece of work.
It’s now official that they have dropped Visual Basic 6 from any development. They’re complaining about the amount of hassle it generates. However, for some of the applications, VBScript is not going to be enough to handle the functionality.
They’re solution? Re-write the components in C++.
Good Job the CV is almost complete. The car is still awaiting parts.
